Problems
I knelt before the altar
To receive the bread and wine
I had so much to say to God
But didn’t have the time
I stayed for just a moment more
Then struggled to my feet
My mind was full of sadness
As I walked back to my seat
I sat and let my eyelids fall
To focus on the task
Of sifting through a maze of thoughts
To choose the one to ask
I searched the words of Jesus,
An answer came in view
‘The Father knows your wants and needs
Long before you do’
I see it now, I’d been a fool
I should have had more sense
A common fault in human kind
A point in my defence
In future I must understand
A problem can be moved
By sharing it with Jesus Christ
Then life is much improved.
